It's February 2010 -- will we finally see a new Quicken for the Mac?

February -- a time of groundhogs, cold weather, and...financial applications? According to Intuit's site, this month should see the final release of Quicken Essentials for Mac, the long-delayed, long-awaited update. They've been taking pre-orders for a while now, and have promised a February 2010 release date. Today's February 3rd -- will we see it in the next 25 days? Tick-tock, tick-tock!

I'm in the beta, and while I can't disclose details, I can tell you that the version that we are testing is nowhere near ready for launch. For example: Web Connect, preferred method for importing transactions for financial websites, causes it to crash. Every. Single. Time. I'm not even kidding.

Wow! I can't believe I pre-ordered the whole thing!!! Well there's always the Intuit 60-day money back guarantee!

Don't hold your breath.

And Stephen, how silly of you to pre-order it when Quicken hasn't given a rat's arse about Mac users for years now.
