Of course, the well-connected, deep-pocketed folks at Mac World have already had a quick peek at it - http://www.macworld.com/article/146729/2010/02/essentialsfirstlook.html.

I don't use Quicken for investments or paying bills from within Quicken. So, those issues aren't a big deal for me. I'm most curious about reporting and budgeting. The beta I saw of Financial Life was useless in those areas.

I am looking forward to your review.

It is obviously much better than their previous version and I don't use investment or paying bills as well.

However one issue that I faced and am disappointed about is the lack of integrated multi-currency support.

When I imported my Quicken windows file, some of my account balances changed because it didn't exchange the amount transferred between accounts with different currencies. So basically you cannot transfer between two accounts that are not in the same currency.

The other funny thing is that your networth is shown for each currency at a time. And you cannot view accounts of different currency at the same time in the 'Account Summary'.

I have to say though that there are some great improvements and the product is now definitely usable for basic stuff.

Of course it doesn't work on PowerPC based macs! I've waited through all of the pushbacks and then to find out that it won't work on my computer. I'm done with Intuit and on to find another financial software for my mac....
